How to make a quote online in 5 steps

Add your company details
Name, tax ID, address, contact details and, if you like, your logo. Tick “Remember my company” so you don’t type them again next time.

Add the client
A company or an individual: name, tax ID, address and contact person.

List products and services
For each line: name, description, quantity, unit, unit price without VAT and discount. Group them in sections if you like, for example “Materials” and “Labour”.

Choose VAT and terms
One rate for the whole quote: 21%, 11% or 0% with the right note. Then validity, currency (RON or EUR), delivery time, payment and warranty.

Download the quote
PDF to send it, Word if you want to edit it further. Totals are calculated automatically, and the preview shows the document before you download it.
What a quote should include
A clear quote says who is offering what, at what price, how long the offer is valid and on what terms you deliver and get paid. The form above already has the basic fields: a header with your company details, the client, number and date, lines with quantity and unit price, VAT, total, validity and terms.
VAT on a quote: 21%, 11% or 0%
The tool follows Romanian VAT: since 1 August 2025 the standard rate is 21% and the reduced rate 11%. You choose one rate for the whole quote and enter unit prices without VAT. At 0% the document carries a mandatory note: not registered for VAT (art. 310 of the Romanian Fiscal Code), reverse charge (art. 331) or exempt, with the legal basis you write.

PDF or Word: which one to choose
A PDF looks the same on every device, so it suits sending to a client. Word helps when you still want to change the text or the table. Both files are generated in your browser and contain real text, not an image. A file sent by email, however, doesn’t tell you whether or when it was read.
Quote, proforma or invoice?
A quote is a proposal: what you deliver, at what price and on what terms, so the client can decide. A proforma is usually used to ask for a payment, such as a deposit, for an agreed order. An invoice is the tax document issued after delivery; in Romania it goes through e-Factura. This tool makes quotes only: the document has no invoice fields and does not replace an invoice.
When to send the quote as a link
When you want to know what happens after you send it. Is it really free?
Yes. The tool on this page is free and unlimited: make and download as many quotes as you like, with no account and no card. Do I need an account?
No. You fill in and download the quote without signing up. You only need an account to send the quote as a link and see when it is opened; the quote started here is then imported into your account automatically.
Where is my data stored?
Only in your browser, on this device (localStorage). We don’t send it to a server and we can’t see it. If you clear your browser data, the draft is lost too, so download the quote to keep it. “Delete everything from this device” removes it at once.
Can I add my logo?
Yes, for free: PNG, JPG or SVG up to 1 MB. The logo stays in your browser and appears in the PDF and in the Word file.
Can I edit the quote in Word?
Yes. The Word file has an editable table of items, so you can change a line or a price before sending. If you change quantities or prices in Word, check the totals too.
Which VAT rate should I use?
The tool follows Romanian VAT: since 1 August 2025 the standard rate is 21% and the reduced rate 11%. Businesses not registered for VAT choose 0% with the matching note. For your own case, ask your accountant.
Is a quote a contract?
Not always. Under Romanian law, a complete quote accepted without reservations can form a contract (Civil Code, art. 1182 and 1188). For larger jobs a separate contract is still useful. This is not legal advice.
Can I see whether the client opened the PDF?
No. A PDF sent by email doesn’t tell you whether or when it was opened. A link does: in Oifers you see when the quote was opened, how many times and on which type of device.
